Base Compensation: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Successful fertility treatment requires a cohesive team of physicians, nurses, embryologists, scientists and staff all working towards a common goal. Reproductive Partners San Diego has five physicians specialized in reproductive medicine who help each other effectively diagnose and treat patients. Many of our physicians and staff members have been together for over twenty years. This legacy of cooperation has produced techniques for developing individual treatment plans which result in a high level of success in even the most difficult cases.  

Job Summary:  

As a Clinical Liaison, you will work closely with patients, physicians, new patient experience specialist and other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless and compassionate experience for our patients. In this role, you will be a direct contact for all new patients, ensuring they feel welcomed from the moment they schedule with our office. You will play a vital role in enhancing the patient experience by providing exceptional customer service, addressing patient needs and supporting the team through a variety of administrative and clinical duties.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned based on operational needs.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Welcome all new patients to the practice with a warm greeting, creating a positive and comforting environment 
  • Communicate with upcoming new patients (via phone/email/portal) to obtain all new patient registration documents including past medical history, new patient consents, and medical records 
  • Request medical records for upcoming new patients 
  • Review and organize incoming new patient medical records 
  • Create detailed and accurate chart note templates with all pertinent past medical history and medical records, primarily for new patient and follow up appointments 
  • Answers new patient inquiries about the practice by utilizing broad based knowledge of Reproductive Partners Fertility Center- San Diego.  
  • Input and manage new patient information into Excel spreadsheet tracking tool 
  • Assist patients in scheduling and/or ordering fast track diagnostic testing prior to initial consult 
  • Scribe for Dr. Garzo’s new patient consults as needed 
  • Assist physicians as needed 
  • Assist clinical assistants/flow team as needed 
  • Assist with ultrasounds and office exams, primarily for new patients 
  • Schedule and document patient services using nAbleIVF (Our patient management and electronic medical records system)  
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations, and calling for assistance from other health care support personnel when appropriate 
  • Reports complaints (both internal and external) to Patient Experience Manager ensuring proper and timely resolution.    
  • Cooperate, interface and work independently to assure the practice goals are achieved 
  • Establish and maintain positive communication with co-workers, supervisor, physicians and patients to promote a spirit of teamwork and cooperation in providing quality healthcare and to ensure achievements of the practice’s goals 

Confidential and Sensitive Information: Ensure the confidentiality of all patient records and care per confidentiality policy and HIPPA regulations. 

 Attendance/ Punctuality/ Reliability is an essential function of this position to report to work on time for your scheduled hours dependent on operational needs, ready for work; ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent; arrive at meetings and appointments on time. 

Qualifications and Requirements 

Education/ Experience:  

  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree and/or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience 

Skills:  

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from patients 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Ability to utilize and learn nAbleIVF  
  • Ability to chart information, accurately 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills 
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
